I hereby fully release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless the State of Louisiana, Nicholls State University and the administration, officers, members, partners, directors, agents, employees, students, insurers, reinsurers and subcontractors from and against any and all suits, claims, causes of action, damages, consequential damages, penalties, liability, losses, costs, attorney’s fees, and expenses of any kind, whether known or unknown, in any way arising out of my participation in the Colonel Cross Country 5K event, hosted by Nicholls State University Athletics, Cross Country and Track & Field on Saturday, September 17, 2022. I understand that I am being asked to waive and hereby waive any and all substantive rights that I may have as a result of personal injuries, property damage or death that may result from my participation in this activity on Nicholls State University property.
I, being of the full age of majority, have read this entire document and understand everything herein contained; and I am satisfied in every respect with full knowledge that I am giving up all of the rights and claims that I have or may have against all persons in consequence of said damage.
I understand that I am engaging in this activity at my own risk, and certify that I have the knowledge, capability, and experience necessary to participate in this activity, and I will follow all of the University rules and regulations for University sponsored events that involve students, faculty, staff, and visitors. I assume all risk and responsibility for any damage or injury to my property or any personal injury which I may sustain while involved in this event, and related material costs and expenses.
